After spending years in business coaching, training, and implementing processes within small companies, Founder and CEO Janice Jokkel saw a common theme. Each client had tasks left unfinished and wore multiple hats. The tasks seldom touched were answering their phones while they were out of the office, responding to email leads, managing marketing, and handling human resources tasks. Each owner was so busy working "IN" their business instead of "ON" their business and stayed stuck not getting out of the weeds. Janice took a step further in helping her clients complete these daunting tasks by cost-sharing the hours of her office assistant.
This success sparked an idea!
On March 18, 2021, the office complex she rented was sold leaving her without office space. This helped move her idea into reality!
On April 21, 2021, Janice ribbon-cut her first office in Medina, Ohio! The Biz Hive is a boutique-style business center that offers office and conference room rentals, a virtual mailbox service to provide a "real address" to home-based businesses, and a talented team that provides office support for small businesses.
In June 2022, Get in Gear Business Solutions (Coaching and Training) and The Biz Hive merged services.
On February 1, 2023, The Biz Hive launched the Community Connector 330 - Business Digest. The very first business publication focused on hyper-local businesses. The purpose of the publication was to provide business-related content, highlight a nonprofit in the community, and celebrate new blooming businesses and milestones of buzzing businesses. In addition, a business directory that connects businesses to our readers who are employers, leaders, and busy professionals who value great service, appreciate relationships, and will help you grow your business through referrals.
On January 24th, 2024, The Biz Hive launched the Biz Learning Lab - a business training center offering workshops for business owners and their teams.
